no, because 1.8 has survival and creative, he means have each world designated before-hand to set you in survival gamemode or creative gamemode when you join that world.
Um, no? OPs can do /gamemode <USERHERE> 0/1, which changes that user to whatever mode. I think 0 == Survival and 1 == Creative.
for when ops aren't on the server, duh. it also makes it easier on them because then they don't have to change the gamemode for people manually. this would be especially useful on my server because we have a "world for everything", meaning both freebuild and vanilla worlds, so this would be really useful.
Yeah, but can you change the game mode for everyone at the same time? like, will /gamemode 0 (without the name) change everyone's gamemode to survival?
I have made a (basic) plugin that can do this, I will post once I find it Got lost on my backup HDD when my HDD failed...
Multiverse dev builds already do this btw. You can set the gamemode per world and it's enforced whenever you switch.
This is the build I'm using currenly, I'm using it on my server with no problems whatsoever http://ci.onarandombox.com/job/Multiverse-Core/268/
to add on to this request, one thing every game mode switcher that does this seems to be missing seems to be a way to specify specific players to have access. For instance, I have a creative world and a survival/pvp world but ideally i'd like only selected people to have access to creative mode in the creative world (rather than every random person who joins) while still keeping the world open for freebuild/exploration.
