I am in the process of starting up a server, and permissions 3.0 is gone.... So I have switched to BukkitPermissions

    http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/ad...2k-official-default-groups-plugin-1000.26785/

And.... it is absolutely terrible... Why is it so hard, also why couldn't we just use the ALREADY working permissions. Anyway anyone who could help me start this up please PM and Ill shoot you my teamspeak 3 details..

    Thanks in advance - Rane!

If you have taken a look recently at the Permissions thread, you would have found 100s of pages of complaints about Permissions not working and with an inactive developer, those problems will stay not working.

BukkitPermissions is not terrible (in fact, all SuperPerms managers are pretty good). You just refuse to have an open mind and are strangely stubborn because you appear to be used to the old Permissions way (even though you are starting up a server...). If that is not the reason for your frustrastion, then it is because you do not understand YAML files (.yml) which all plugins use (even Permissions) so chances are you would be having all of these problems and then some if you were using Permissions.

I will not start PMing you or using TeamSpeak, but if you put your permissions file on www.pastebin.com, then I think I could help you from there.

I'm sorry if it sounded like a rant... I never encountered any problems and I couldn't find a guide anywhere on the forums.

Thanks for at least acknowledging the fact that your post sounded like a rant (you would be surprised how many completely deny it).

As far as your permissions file goes, it's perfect :D. However, I cleaned it up a bit. Here is my version of it. Please note that I removed permission.example: true from just about everything. Also, when you give someone (admin) permission.*: true, they have all permissions, which means that no other permission nodes are necessary unless you want to prevent some of them.

Note, some plugins have not made the switch over to the new, SuperPerms system. With that said, some plugins might not be compatible and you will need to search for different plugins. I am also aware that PermissionsBukkit comes with a bridge to make Permissions-only plugins work. Although this works (sometimes) I do not recommend using the bridge because it generally causes lots of problems (this is true for any SuperPerms bridge).

If you have any questions feel free to ask :). Also, you need to use a developmental build of WorldEdit for it to work with SuperPerms.

Nope. However, you shouldn't need to do this. The only people that need to be in a group at people who aren't default.

I feel hurt that you didn't just come to me for help over Skype. :( But as supersam654 said, everyone who is not specified will be categorized as default, so just put players that are above default in the config (you don't need to list default players unless they have special permissions nodes).
