Hello everyone. Today I would like to introduce a new era of web based minecraft server management for Bukkit. Combining design + functionality, BukkitAdmin is great at helping you manage your server. Today I will just be showing a few screenshots of the upcoming release. I will also explain some current and future features. Here are some current features Start/Stop server View CPU/RAM usage Change server settings Live log viewer Multiple users with specific permissions View online users Kick online users Manage users inventory (WIP) And here are the current planned features, by priority Backups Plugins Groups (Once Bukkit gets this figured out) If you have any suggestions, comments, questions, etc... post below! Here are some screenshots to tease you Click for screenshots (Move your mouse to reveal the content) Click for screenshots (open) Click for screenshots (close)
If you're going to have a CPU/RAM graph, numbers may be useful (% used, amount used, something...). List the plugins somewhere at least. It may not have to do anything with them yet, but since plugins are so damn important when running a server, having a list at least would help. As for the log section, its easy enough to start getting more logs going (for instance, I currently run a gc log). Would be handy if you could have a section for admins to include logs to watch. Never know when one may need to be watching other log files in the future. Will the world settings change as plugins use them? I already have one plugin that alters the server.properties file.
@TnT Thanks for your reply I mentioned plugins will be added. I just don't have a tab for them yet. I will consider your log suggestion idea, I completely see what you need. I added percentages to the end of the bar. The server config is read from server.properties and will be updated live.
how do you communicate with the server? via a plugin or an external application? Edit: now that I see a log, I'm leaning more on the plugin side. If so, I'm curious - how do you have a server start/stop feature?
Oh yeah, I know you did . Every gui or admin tool I've seen seems to leave it out of the first versions for some crazy reason.
UPDATED! Added CPU/RAM percentage displayed Plugins Enable/Disable Edit configuration files (auto find) Server properties are read/written live (no longer in mysql) Custom BukkitTcpServer build with new commands Fixed RAM/CPU is now cross platform Logreader bugs Start/Stop server WIP Live inventory management Groups Better plugin management Backups
I still don't see Plugins, Multiple Users (and permissions), Player inventory management, cross platform CPU/MEM usage, or Bukkit support in general on McMyAdmin
Within the next week, there will be a pre-release. Right now I'm working on a live embed-able image graphic, player inventory management, and plugins. Later tonight comes work on backups --- merged: Feb 21, 2011 10:28 PM --- UPDATED! Finished Cleaned up plugins LIVE inventory management WIP Backups Groups Finish plugin configuration editing Possible YAML verifier? I'm attaching another screenshot to demo the new inventory editor I've been working hard on it and spent countless hours fine-tunning the jQuery. Here it is!
Looks like its a browser run admin, from the server ? No option to run it locally and then connect to server via ssh ?
This is a web admin, nothing to do with ssh. You could run a local bukkit sever and a local copy of the website. --- merged: Feb 25, 2011 3:35 AM --- Hello again everyone It's finally been released: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/bukkitadmin-0-2-prealpha-premier-web-administrator.5849/
