where is teh minecraft_server.jar included in bukkit?

    If it even is included. because i was for it.
    like in Hey0s mod you could just use the _server.jar and put mods like runecraft inside there.
    is it somehow included in bukkit?
    just read it doesnt even wrap around the server.jar, but how can i install mods which would do that,or where?

    I'm sorry, but more info would be nice (as well as proper English!).

    Anyways, here's what I think you want to know:
    Simply use the snapshot.jar (rename to craftbukkit.jar for easy usage).
    Launch it with all needed runtime variables (AKA memory, etc).
    It contains the original server already–– no need for it to download the server.

    He wants to use mods directly on the minecraftserver.jar.
    I know that it is inside craftbukkit.jar, but where exactly inside? Also could you mod this inside craftbukkit server as you would do on vanilla server?

    Oh God, I don't know. Personally, he'd be better off just using plugins–– thanks to the way it's set up, I don't think it's possible to mod it.

    There is no minecraft_server.jar file. CraftBukkit is the minecraft_server.jar.

    You won't be able to use old hMod mods on CraftBukkit.

    in that case........Crap.
    i found a mod I'd like to use with craftbukkit for the ease of use with the users system etc.
    It's the SDK's Guns and utilities Mod which would also have a server instance.
    maybe its possible to include that in later versions of bukkit optionally

    I had this exact idea when I wanted to use a mod I created using Minecraft Coder Pack. I was indeed able to find most of the files that are in the original server.jar file, but they are almost completely recoded. Any mod that does not use Bukkit, like runecraft, would be completely useless for a craftbukkit server.
