What port does Minecraft multiplayer use as default?

    Hi all, I've noticed that some minecraft servers dont have a port on them. I imagine that is the same concept as port 80 and the internet but what port does Minecraft use by default? Or is there something more complicated involved?

    Default port is 25565

    EDIT: You're right, you dont need to enter the port # if you're using 25565! Thx :p
