    Description:

    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    How to change block ID's?
    ICAllocator has a problem with ICFancypack, some blocks have thesame IDs :(

    Write this in your plugin.ic before the "ICAllocator.jar" plugin:

    Code:
    "allocator_ID" 200 setID
    Where 200 could be every id you want (<255).

    I've updated Kaevator's SuperSlopes to support client mod v2.2 -> wool slopes :)

    I know how you feel, not exactly the easiest of mods but I got mine working beautifully :) multiplayer buildcraft is so friggin fun! :)

    Remember, you still have to patch the clients, that was also a bit messy, give it a shot and if you need help with the client install let me know.

    Hi, i finally set up my server and have logged in... as a test, i only allowed the ickslope plugin
    to my disappointment, whenever i tried to craft one of the new item types, my minecraft would crash...
    Any suggestions?

    I cant post due to the activation email not arriving on the itemcraft forum so I will post it here:

    So I was trying the latest version available in the forum
    but I always get this error at start up:

    if any one can help me i got ksuperslopes working ,buildcraft,pfaeff mod,fancypack,hiddendoors,jump pad .. it just that when i run the server it sat id taken and i tried others id's but fail so if any one can get this to work ..thank you guys and it all ready too guy just need id change and it's running 1.6.5 itemcraft ,bukkit 1060 and works fine when i disable buildcraft but when unchecked to what it was before then id problem .... thank if any can fix this .. and here the links:

    So i really like this mod, but i was wondering if i can still use it even after i have created a bukkit server. What i mean is that i already created a bukkit server with many plugins, me and some friends developed it and everything. So will ItemCraft still work even after i made a server?

    What are your problems ? Just a crash ? When ? During the server connection ? When you are in the world ?
    Is there a log with an error ?
     
  24. When i have ICNTrees enabled when i walk far away from spawn or try to fly the client crashes,
    i have also tried moving spawn and player position by using MCedit which works about 10%
    but the server is never stable with ICNTrees activated, why is this so, and iv tried it in spp but no crashes there.
    It aslo seems that there is more trees in single player mode.

    So the client crashes with ICNtress, but not the server, the server should crash i would think.

    It looks like you have not set the same IDs for blocks and items on your server and your client.
    Look for the file name MoreTrees.props in your .minecraft folder. Use the same IDs in your plugin.ic file (Place them before the line "ICNTrees.jar" plugin.

    They should be like this :
    "blockVines" XXX setID

    Where XXX is the ID that you want to use.

    I am having problems with getting itemcraft working . I have a fresh bukkit server with itemcraft on it along with server modloader and made sure false setPacket230OnLogin was in the init.ic file since I was crashing the same way without it. The server loads with no errors. When I try to log in with my client I get a message (last for 1/2 sec) then black screen. Client side I have Modloader and Modloader mp installed. On server shows I logged in. Please realize I am still learning and its o>k to be a noob like me because we all had to start somewhere. I am assuming I dont have to have any mod installed for it to work? Do clients have to install Itemcraft ? I don't know where to get the error from client side to post since it black screens it so fast. My appologies for the Noob questions just trying to get this working. Oh ya deleted the meta-inf folder or whatever its called on both client and server.
