Plugin developement

Hello every i decided to start developing a plugin and i was wondering is it too hard? should i learn java coding first (i don't have a clue about it)? do you guys have any tips for me?

 

I'm not an developer, but i have this same idea and this is what i heard. Yes, you should learn Java first. Is it hard? I think so, but i'm completely new to developing Plugins.

 

I have no prior experience coding java, and I'm at least trying my hand at it. Just read guides and feel your way through it.

 

The best way to learn is by doing. You don't need to buy a massive book on java before you begin just start trying to make a plugin and see how you go. Start by following tutorials on the internet step by step and go from there. The most important thing is that you are not lazy!!!! If you get stuck don't just instantly post "DERP my code be broke you fix now!" in the forums after two seconds of it not working. Use google and search the forums and try everything you can to fix learn how to fix it yourself before you get someone to spoon feed it to you. That is the best way to learn.

As oz suggested you, you will learn how to code in java doing it. Make a plugin is not so difficult, but you may need to do it by grade, don't get yourself in a massive extracomplicated extraordinary plugin, make it simple just to learn, and when you get some more experience try something difficult. I've modified a couple of plugin for the server where i play and after that i've started my own plugin. Now it's all matter of time but i will make it stable and funny
