My server have been running for a few months - it runs on my own pc laptop, cuz i can't afford to habe a dedicated pc standing. Around once every 1-3 hour, all players were kicked off the server, and got an error, telling them:
Players were unable to reconnect, and the CMD, which the server runs on acts like NOTHING happends. No error message, it just keeps on running, as if the server was empty, and without any events happening.
In the last week, this error has become more and more often occuring, and a yesterday, after a restart it only ran for around 5-15 seconds, before it crashed for the forth or fifth time.
This error is definatly server related, as it's only the server which crashes, all other internet related programs run just fine.

What is the internet connection of the ISP the laptop is running on?

Idk if it's this, but we got BroadBand

Its the people who provide your broadband. like from the UK the major ones are Virgin, Sky, BT, TalkTalk etc.

Man I don't know why your going around like your the authority on this and shoving your answer down everyone's throats, the fact is that when people are getting this error their console (for example mine is a cmd line on windows server 2008) doesn't accept any input at all once this error has occurred, clearly meaning it is NOT and ISP problem. Don't mean to offend you or anything, but just because you've decided bandwidth is the solution doesn't make it true.

I'm not saying it's bandwidth, but read time out is when packets cannot reach the other side, so please, before budding into me helping somebody, and insulting me, please do a little research, will ya?

    Try using no plugins.
If still happen, try chunkers, else add plugins one by one.

i know, is a pain, is slow, is hard, is the only way to fix it ;)

Thx, I was actually trying doing this before i read this, but it's great to hear someone suggest what i do myself, confirming that I'm not just being stupid (which wouldn't be the first time :p )

(Also noticed that my PC starts spinning loudly whenever i use a relatively big plugin, so it MUST be the thing (too many plugins(I just like filling stuff to the limit(Which appearently also include parantheses))))
