  1. If i download craftbukkit past version 190 and run it it works fine. But a soon as i type in any command it instantly stops the server. it doesn't crash it just says "stopping server." Any ideas?

I've been having the same problem. It starts and looks fine. I can connect from a different computer, and run around for 10-15 seconds placing and destroying blocks before the server shuts it self down.

Yes finally someone with the same problem!

Yeah but like they said any time I type a command it shuts down. It doesn't crash. It's just the same as if I had typed stop on a vanilla server. Also, I am on a mac, and even when I type anything into the terminal the same thing happens

Please help, I have been running SimpleServer and really want to switch to Craftbukkit...

  7. Anyone have any idea what is happening?

I might of found the problem. When i tried the most common version of craftbukkit on another mac it worked fine. so i think it may have to do with the version of the mac you are running.

Oooh.. intresting theory... what version did it work on and what version did it not work on...

Not a theory at all. Older Mac OS had Java bundled, but it was an older Java. You need java 1.6.x. Type java -version in the terminal to see what you have.

Yep... that's it and to get Java 1.6 you need snow leopard (10.6)
