NOTICE: I'm not 100% sure of the categories this would go under, so I put MISC. Feel free to correct myself.

mcOverhaul itself is a client modification that implements a buddy list and server list. The buddy list and server list both have a lot more than meets the eye however, which makes it an extremely useful modification. Conflicts with WorldEditCUI.

Any ways you could make the two work in harmony? =/

I have mcOverhaul, HDTextures, and WorldEditCUI working in harmony. I had to use MCpatcher and I believe i had to patch the plugins in this order:
    1. WorldEditCUI
    2. mcOverhaul
    3. HDTectures
    4. HDFont
    5. ModLoader
    6. BetterGrass
Like i said i think that was the order i'm currently away from my pc. Ill check when i get home.

Went on the IRC, no one was there to help so...

My server has been on the public list for a while now but today, I saw it there with the port missing from the end of the IP. The name, details etc are still there but only the IP address is there with no port number at the end. Why has this happened all of a sudden and how can I fix it?

I've noticed this too. It seems to be a bukkit bug with org.bukkit.CraftServer.getPort();, i'll look into it more later.

    Okay no worries!

Let me know once it's fixed, we are getting loads of down votes because of it!

Will this one day work with the Spout Launcher? If so... that would be so epic.

The spout launcher uses a serverlist of it's own. Which is kind of crappy. Can't even view the rest of the 6000 servers.

It probably won't make it in unless one of us bothers to speak with them.

GO speak to them dude! I have faith in you!

We can't implement our mod with Spout unless we talk to them, and I don't think it's ever going to happen to be honest.

in Spout thread a few hours earlier:
Going on the thread yelling about DMCA infringement and stolen ideas was a pretty good way of making sure that they will never listen to you, especially since you can't claim DMCA over anything Minecraft related under its terms and conditions. I don't know why you didn't just download the SpoutCraft client mod and see if you could change it to use your system and submit a pull request, or submit a request on the issues page like everyone else.

Spout is a public project after all...

You guys have a poor method of "speaking" with us. Anyways, here is our official response to your claim: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/29259/page-61#post-560120

With your method of approach, I highly doubt we would ever consider working with any of of the mcOverhaul developers with any projects.

    ROFL,

Your i-DEPOT is just a proof of what you have developed at a given date, not a patent !
Learn to read (or go buy a brain)
With your i-DEPOT, you can just prove that you have done a server list and chat on 25 july.
If you want to patent your idea, you have to use the right form (I give you a clue, it's not the idepot) AND have to prove that nobody has made a server list and chat before this date when you will be sued.
They are so many evidences (forums, witnesses, chatlogs, github, tweets... an i-depot is not the ONLY acceptable proof in court) that server list has be done BEFORE your i-depot by other teams...
    Your i-depot is just useless.
You've paid a 35€ idepot without understanding what it means. Funny !
A patent cost at least 500€ and "your idea" cannot be patented...

Otherwise, you cannot patent a mod on a copyrighted game without the authorisation of the game's owner.

Go to school kid and keep your money to buy law books.

Ofc, once the client API comes out, it may support something like that. However, changes to the way a user can login seems pretty specific, so aren't likely to be a priority.

In addition, the API is intended to be mostly server-side, so little will happen until you actually connect to a server.

This was not a move by the entire "team", this was a move by arco on his own behalf.

The patent was free because arco's father is a lawyer :p Although, he was the only one who actually knew any information on the patent (it was not an act by the team)

Well, the rest of you might want to have your names removed from his "patent" or discuss it as a "team" before making accusations.

We had discussed it, however it is hard to stop arco. Perhaps I should talk to you in an IRC or Skype to further the discussion without the need of more posts?

Irrelevant. While I appreciate the importance of patents and protecting your work from theft, attacking a public, open source project reflects poorly on the choices of your team.

I would have to agree, may I talk to you, elsewhere, like Skype or IRC as stated in the above post.

You will destroy your reputation on the bukkit forum if you follow arco.
You will be known as "the guys who are hindering the development of the most anticipated mod for bukkit".
Open your eyes. 62 pages in 8 days for the spout thread. And arco came with his "Stop this, I have patented the idea that was invented before I was born." !

You want to get back money from this open source project ? You want to be treated like scammers ?

If I go with arco, what is that supposed to mean? The reason "the most anticipated mod" has that many posts is because it has problems, which is bound to happen for a modification of that stature. The idea of spout being open source is also irrelevant, because the part of McOverhaul you are posting on (the bukkit plugin) is infact open source.
This argument has been resolved, please do not add to it.

The issues between McOverhaul and Spout have been resolved, there is no need for anyone to hound @Coelho or McOverhaul on this matter, if you have issues you can direct them to @SpoutDev I will be more than happy to work them out. Bukkit forums is about community, there is no reason for it to start fighting, both projects aim is to benefit to the community.
I will makes this extremely clear, IF there is any posting of this argument on any of the profiles of anyone involved, posting on the McOverhaul thread or the Spout thread I will get the moderators involved via the report button. MonsieurApple has already posted on the Spout thread ending his comment with.
Again any comments or questions can be directed to the SpoutDev account.

Clearly can care less about team reputation.

I rather not just keep mcoverhaul working right. It' the end of this wonderful story. Let us move on to some worthwhile things like coding and finishing our projects.
