Request - Player Name Plugin

I'm the host of a role play server, and I was wondering if there were any plugins that allow a player to change their display name. It wouldn't have to change the name over their head, I know that requires client side additions. I am also aware of plugins like DisplayNameChanger and NameChanger, but I was wondering if there was a way for the plugins to work alongside other mods such as Towny that give players Titles and Prefix/Suffixes

 

if you use essentials you can do /nick <playername> <newname>

 

Is there a way to cut this out of essentials? Can someone make a separate mod for it? Essentials is not compatible with some of my stuff.

 

Essentials is crap. Those of you who agree are awesome.

Essentioals is crap, its buggy and not good at all!

 

tbh I haven't had a single problem with it works flawlessly for me

 

Essentials is amazing! It allows you to do what you cant, and you don't have to download like 30 plugins to allow the enhancements. Besides, even if you wanted a different plugin that essential's offers, you can always use that and essentials will allow it!

To answer your question, I believe Essential's is a good addition to even a Role-playing server.

BUT requires a client mod for all server users.

 

if it is only the name in chat that needs to be changed, you can make that in 10 secs...

but, with colors and stuff it takes abit longer

 

Yes but the configuration for that isn't so simple. He wan'ta plugin specifically for that, which isn't available to my understanding atm.

 

There is so many other plugins whit commands like that, MUCH better then essentials, if you are running a big server whit manny permission groups, the essentials is so freaking bad! The permission for that plugin is so bad!
It bugs from group to group!

It ofc good for small servers, whit not that much need! But who, doesnt whant a big server some day?

 

Please tell me English isn't your first language? :/ Look we all have our own opinions but for the record, my server has a hell of a lot of groups... essentials runs perfectly.

 

I am just comming whit some suggestion to not only make a plugin whit the name action, but whit better commands like in essentials! Since very very many whants that!

I am sorry if i hurt you by suggestion, but if you have problames whit others opinions, try keep your's to yourself too then! Its stupid to be so rud on forums, its for helping each other, share ideas, not beeing a jerk!

 

It does WAY too many things. Do you have any idea how hard it is to manage all that code? It may seem nice and convenient, but trust me, it's not.

I dindt meant all the things, lol, that is way we need a new one, to get ridd of the stupid things in Essentials that now one use!

 

lots of people use essentials and btw you didn't make a suggestion, you just stated that essentials is crap as if there were no room for discussion and that everyone should just accept it as fact. Believe me, I hate when people hate things and think they have to make a point about, it mostly happens on youtube... if you don't like it, don't watch it. I'm sorry if I came across as rude, I didn't mean to, but don't say to me that I shouldn't say my opinion because I don't like yours. Just saying, TheVoxelBox, one of the biggest servers around, with lots of groups and lots of plugins, HAS ESSENTIALS.
