Being able to sit down?

Anyway to add sit animations, such as when in a boat or mine cart, to certain blocks, like make-shift wood chairs for example?

 

I am totally interested in this
being able to sit would be awesome, especially for roleplaying purposes.

 

I'm no dev, but I'm almost positive this would have to be client-side.

Well, no. The animation is there, if it wasn't, then it would be, but it's possible I believe. I may be wrong though...

you can change how a boat acts in SMP right?

let it simulate the boat animation on the floor delete movement. there you go.

Right click on stairs to start sitting as if a static minecart/boat?

 

If it does work, I just hope it doesn't look strange since their legs don't bend. Anything is better than nothing though.

I'll try I guess because I was actually looking for a plugin that does this... don't know how soon it'll be done by though.

What NuclearW said.. However, it's got a bug intrinsic to 1.6 in it, that has yet to be fixed, where you sit *IN* the seat (your head poppin' out) rather than ON the seat.
