Read Timed Out Error on Consle

    Whenever I start up the server, about 30 mins later, an error pops up that says:
    Read Timed Out
    Read Timed Out
    Read Timed Out
    Connection Reset

    Is it because of bukkit, or plugin? Or what?
    Im running on the craftbukkit 1000 (1.7.3)---and it was also happening when i was on 1.7.2
    my plugins are:
    AutoMessage, BigBrother, ColoredSigns, CommandBook, CraftBookCommon, CraftBookCircuits, CraftBookMechanisms, CraftBookVehicles, CraftBukkitUpToDate, FenceStack, FireControl, FirstJoin, HeroChat, iConomy, Jail, kFeatherTeleport, Landmarks, LazyRoad, LocalShops, Lockette, Lottery, MagicCarpet, mcMMO, MobileAdmin, MonsterBox, MultiInv, MultiVerse, MyHome, MyWarp, NoExplode, Permissions, RocketBoots, ServerSave, TeleConfirmLite, Turnstile, uQuest, War, WorldEdit, WorldGuard, dynmap, Administrate, Factions

    I've been having this for weeks. #1000 helped but I'm still getting it randomly. Here's my plugins:

    im thinking its permissions 3.x
    because ive had the old perms for a long time, but when i changed, it started to freeze/crash

    it's happening the same to me. My plugins are:

    SignLift, LandMarks, OpenInv, MobBounty, dymap,xAuth, Wurkit, WorldGuard, WorldEdit, Towny, Permissions, MinecraftViewer, iConomy, HeroSpawn, HeroicDeath, HeroChat, Spyer, MCDocs, iConomy death, AppleTree, Automessage.

    By the way, it's any way of doing "/stop" when server keep saying Read time out? I have realize that all plugins seems to keep working (dynmap, MinecraftViewer...)

    And also, does anyone know whay exactly means "Read time out"? I mean, what that message means? Read time out trying to read something from hard drive? Tryingto read what?

    I am getting this also. Please post if anyone has / gets more information about this. For me it happens randomly just does a read time out. I have plenty of ram and CPU usage available to use. So something has to be tied to plugin / Bukkit related?

    jstack -l PID > stackdump.txt

    Then copy your stack dump and paste it into pastebin.com ...

    I was just wondering if I could run a stack dump on the java. Will this show where the program currently is stuck in CraftBukkit? Can you elaborate on jstack, I'm not familiar with debugging java.

    Hmm I have this issue as well on my server, yesterday java keep crashing with Out of Memory errors which was was curious as I was on server monitoring the usage and it was barely at 2GB out of 4GB

    So I updated to Java 1.7 and used the huge parameter starting script ( somewhere from this forum ) that gives me stable server for around 6hours, after that I get "Read timed out" server don't crash, just all users are disconnected and can't connect. I can connect console and restart server no problem...

    Ok, I finally got jstack to run XD I had to call it from the java path because 'stack' alone didn't work. Example:

    /usr/bin/jstack -l <PID>
    I'll post the results once it crashes again.

    Running Java 1.7 has definitely slowed down this problem, but it's still a big problem. It's generally accepted now that this -is- a bukkit issue since many have run it without plugins and still get this error.

    Not sure if anyone is still reading this thread, but I -FINALLY- fixed the "Read Timed Out" issues. It was the Permissions 3.x plugin. I rebuilt it with 'fair mode' and it's been running all night at around 1GB with no memory leaks. Here's a link to the thread post with more details and a download link (if you all want to try):
