    SATools - Server Administration Tools:
    Version: v0.402
    Last Release: 10/3/11
    FEEDBACK USE THIS
    Donate!!!!!!!! <-- Please?

This plugin is almost like a server wrapper, which in the future it may become. This is a plugin meant for people who run a server from a home computer or a location where you can access the server using a GUI. This plugin creates a GUI to make managing a server a lot easier, especially when you don't want to type and remember a lot of commands and stuff.

Info: If you want to be a part of this project whether it be development or design, please let me know I am always accepting new ideas.

WARNING: IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE USING THE OLD SATOOLS INSTEAD OF V0.4 Beta DO NOT UPDATE, IF YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE THE MISTAKE CLICK HERE. THEN WHEN YOU RUN IT DO NOT ALLOW UPDATE CHECK.

I found the problem. You can not change the time if you are using the plugin "PlgEssentials". Just to let you all know :D

Well I was really thinking of far in the future making the players tab and inside it tabs inside the tab per player and the main tab for info, then the player tab is set up showing what the players skin is with a model of the player, a box below that with everything the player has said and a little text box to message them. Just brainstorming a while ago I had more ideas but I figured the way I have it now was the simplest and easiest to manage untill I can put in the time to code something more complex.

So the first real plugin confliction. Ill work on a solution to this problem.

If there are no more bugs reported by Sunday, I will begin work on v0.4 Monday. Which will defanitly include a better GUI for smaller screens.

hello i love you plugin but recently for the RB version the weather has not been working for me :( do u know why? also i really don't understand what the scheduled tasks are supposed to help with? and do you mind letting me know when the two "coming soon" features are ready and give me an estimate on when since that i cant wait to look forward to. :)

@killergee100 scheduled tasks run at certain times of the minecraft day, so at say... time 12000 (just getting ready for dark) you have a scheduled task execute "/time set 0" and boom, automation!
at least that's how I think it works... I haven't played with it yet :D

Weather isn't an instant change, for example you want it to be clear after you see rain start. You press it and give it atleast 5 seconds to clear up, if there are any problems I will definitely take a look at it.

That is exactly my usage on my server :D. So I stop having to press time set to 0.

It will be able to in future releases I wanted to get the basic function ready and to see if everyone enjoyed its function and make sure it works properly before adding.

P.S Everyone, I just got back from a 2 day vacation so I am ready to rock and roll on any bugs or problems, I am going to orginize a list of what needs to be in v0.4.

@OneThatWalks it does work with weather but the time of day it says in console "no world by the exact name found"
do you have any way to fix this?

    Devboi

How do I actually Run this GUI?
I have added the .jar to my plugin folder - but how do I run it?

    EDIT:
Okay so I got it running, what do you mean exactly when you say Free Memory?
Also the MOTD is still there...

  10. Offline

    OneThatWalks

I don't know why that would be happening to you, it is built to get your world and get the time based off of that and the weather.

Free memory is if you think it is running slow and you shouldn't have to use it at all unless you have been using it a lot really.

Sorry I thought I had fixed it, It is fixed in v0.32

    [Servere] SATools....

I tried playing with the time buttons, but it's yelling at me that "No world by that name found.", then claims to have changed the time, yet nothing happens.

    Code:

    @Snipe76 and @ACStache
I test each feature before each release even if they were the first features I keep testing them to ensure functionality, I tested a few minutes ago even with the public build of SATools and everything is peachy, I may have to work with you guys on teamviewer. Let me know IF this is what you would like to try, and when you have availability.

    @OneThatWalks
looked into it a little bit more, and it seems I may have a conflicting plugin... I can't even type "time 0" in my console. it yells at me I need to specify a world. When I type "time set 0" it doesn't need a world since that's the default MC command, and says:
    Code:
[INFO] No world by that exact name found.

when using "time 0" and I specify a world ("time 0 world") it gives the above [INFO]. So clearly it's not SATools not working. It's trying to but some other plugin is in it's way saying 'specify a world, something other than "world" since the spelling is right and I don't like you' or simply 'rabble rabble rabble!' lol. I'll try to find the conflicting plugin. Will update later on my findings (if I don't fall asleep at the keyboard first :D)

Update 1: I removed the plugin CommandBook from my list of plugins. Everything works how it should now with the time buttons. By the looks of it if you have another plugin that can change time but also changes the syntax you run into issues. Luckily CommandBook can be customized, so I'm going to remove the time commands and report back again if it still messes up:)

Update 2: Using a customized CommandBook and removing the time commands makes it so my SATools can now correctly adjust the time.

As a heads up if the Time changing buttons aren't working: Find your conflicting plugin!

as an addition: Tried to set up a Schedule Task.
Named it "test2" (the first one i royally botched up, dunno how, don't care either :p lol)
    set it to "When: 7250"
    set it "Todo: serverSay"
    serverSay was "Test Schedule Tasks"
color was BLUE from the drop down list.
    Hit save, it saved.
7250 came along and I got an error.
this is the whole bit of server.log from macro creation to finish:

For your first issue there may have been a problem printing the color to use, and for the second problem I have been getting that a lot recently its in the actual scheduling mechanism. I thought I had it fixed but I guess not, when you have that macro running is it the only one running? I may have forgot a line of code, depending on that answer.

Yea, after each test I would delete the macro then move on and try making another one. For the issue with printing with color, would I need a chat plugin to handle the colors?

No everything is handled by craftbukkit, I do not understand why it wont work. I will do testing later this week. There has been a very extreme family emergency that makes me very busy tomorrow so I cannot begin work on v0.4 tomorrow I apologize and hope there is an understanding about the emergency I have to deal with.

I installed this but it used a ridiculous about of cpu usage, it made my server go from using about 4% to 70% :L Just thought you should know.

Take the downloaded jar and put it in your generated plugins folder, assuming you have already run bukkit at least once.

What CPU are you running it off of, because I run an i3 with 8gb ram on my dev PC and it is barely noticeable.

    Archer

I am also running an i3 but only have 3gb of ram. This kind of surprised me but
    Without satools running
I was at 8% cpu usage and 252 mg of ram allocated to java.

With satools running 28% cpu and 277 mg of allocated ram.

This with was with a player loaded into the game both times, and no other plugins.

I'm running on an i5 760. My server normally uses about 5% cpu utilisation but it went to about 50% after installing this plugin. I do have other mods installed such as iConomy and Lockette, but nothing that I would expect to affect this. Other annoyances were being damaged by 5 hearts when exiting god mode, and it kept putting me back in god mode when I left and rejoined. I like the idea and I think it has potential, it just didn't work for me for whatever reason.

I'll investigate the CPU usage with a few PCs I have access to. I will also figure out the god issue why it doesn't remove a god when stripped of god powers. Looks like my time frame to start on v0.4 is next Monday, so I apologize for that kind of wait but it will be worth it in the end. I will keep everyone updated, I check on this thread the most often and GIT hub.
