[ SERVER] Can Anyone Help Me Boost My Server?

How can i make my server faster? how do i make it use more ram on my server so that it would run better in game. Because my friends and i lag alot and then we try breaking blocks we have to wait for like 10 seconds for the broken block to be broken so that we could take it.


I only have 2 GB of Ram

This is a common problem, but no easy fix to it. Two Gigabytes of Ram isnt alot, so i suggest installing more RAM. Just a suggestion, there could be other fixes

 

also get faster internet or rent a vps :d

 

I run a server perfectly fine with Windows 7 and 2GB RAM. Then again I don't have too many people on my server. What's your internet speeds?

It's most likely your upload speed that's causing the problems. I have a similar upload speed and I can just barely hold two or three people, including me. Try upgrading your internet speeds. There's also some software out there that'll reduce bandwidth usage, but I haven't tested any of them.
