Win 7 64 and I'm unable to get in. Code: Internal exception: java.io.UTFDataFormatException: malformed input around byte 17 And before that it was byte 12. And just tried again and it was byte 0.
Ok found out what was going on the Guy that was able to connect to the bukkit server was using a old client which you can *link removed* if you want. *advertising removed* false call i thought we was onto something here
Here's a direct link for ONLY the old minecraft.jar file: *link removed* To use it: Windows: Users > Current User > AppData (be sure to have hidden folders on in options) > Roaming > .minecraft > bin Replace current minecraft.jar with the one in the link above. Not sure exactly how it works on other computer types, but you can always open Minecraft, go to Texture Packs, hit the button to open the texture pack folder, and go back once. Then open the bin folder. However, I'd rather just have an updated Minecraft. How did you get yours to work? Just by changing the port to that?
I just connected to the server and it isn't running Bukkit. As such, this post is essentially just advertising which is (currently) not allowed. Server address removed and thread closed. ------------------------------------------ I've been contacted and asked to clarify. This whole thread was a misunderstanding: the OP had setup a Bukkit server and was confused that someone could join. The issue was that the person that joined had an outdated client. There is currently NO WORKING VERSION of Bukkit for the latest Minecraft update.
