how do you run minecraft in backround

    I was wondering how to run my minecraft server.in backround so i dont always have to have my ssh screen up. I am running centos which is linux.

    I believe it is 'nohup'

    XD...i thought that too...but i have windows 7 pc...i dont know how linux works

    No luck

    screen -S minecraft
    launch server
    Cntrl + A then D
    to resume screen -r minecraft

    If he's ssh'ing it, he probably doesn't care about the window. He (most likely) wants the process in the background so he can close the SSH.
