Hello bukkit community! Thanks for all that you do!

My name is Ryguy, and I have no experience in coding, multiplayer server setups, or anything. Just a casual player who would like to see his favorite MC server plugins be restored to their former glory by the community, and then potentially try to create a server using those plugins in the future, or play on a server that runs it.

I don't know if this request is a lot of work or a little work, but I thought I'd post it anyway.

The old plugins can be found here: https://github.com/Satrosity

Note that Satrosity's work has always been free to the public and credit goes to the author, but he has always welcomed anyone to help develop it. I have talked to him many times on this subject. The author has since moved on to other projects and games and has not returned to update any of his plugins in quite some time (2012).

Basically, I would like the plugins he has created (specifically Clans and TeamCraft) to be updated to be available for the latest Minecraft multiplayer use.

I'm not asking for any speed or due dates, this has been a plugin that's been dead for years, but it was the most fun plugin and server I've ever played on, and I'm sure others will also find it enjoyable.

My concerns is that since it is a rather old plugin set (2012 was the last work done on it), I don't know how much effort it will be to make it compatible with the newer Minecraft getups and multiplayer server support.

Some unique aspects of the server plugins (essentially a unique spin on PvP Factions servers):

    - Has "Clans" that lets a group of players join together as a team, with features like private clan chat, toggle friendly fire on / off, and other common team features.
    - Diplomacy between clans, such as engaging in wars and peace times
    - a /capture command to "hold" an enemy clan's base
    - a "Domination bar" that monitors progress of capturing / defending a clan base
    - Periodic reward system for holding enemy bases
    - Clans can "claim" chunks for their clan's base
    - Claimed chunks can be upgraded for better protection and utility using Gold blocks as currency
    - Claimed chunk upgrades include things like size increases, temporary obsidian chunk replacement (changes your clan's claimed chunk blocks into temporary obsidian when mined by enemy, encourages less base destruction and no 100% protected areas like Factions), chunk regeneration and anti-lava (keeps bases from being permanently destroyed), and more!

    - The author started an expansion plugin to enable "Kingdoms" (groups of clans working together, having a capital clan and the sub-clans, with a kingdom chat and diplomacy between them), but this plugin was never finished. Feel free to take up the reigns!

I hope that this post explains the gist of the plugins and the general goals and themes of a server running it. With the latest multiplayer additions like new combat system, shields, and more, this plugin seems like an obvious fit.

Please take the time to review his work and hopefully respond with a yes or no to revive this wonderful plugin set.

    Thank you for your time.

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to give some backstory for the plugin so people could see the potential in it. Thank you!

EDIT: @Kilorbine Sounds good, keep me posted! The capes were unnecessary and just an extra feature.

EDIT:@Kilorbine Do you think you can give me a walk me through the process to setup these plugins for my own MP server? I have no idea how to do this, but if not that's fine. I just appreciate your work so far!

Okey, that's sound to be an amazing plugin, I will take a look on this.

But anyhere I look, i can't find the Kindomcraft sources.
Do you know where they are?

Thank you for the time and interest! It really is a fun and unique plugin.

I don't think Satrosity ever actually finished the KingdomCraft plugin, so he might have never gotten out of the planning phase, just something I heard him talk about and tell his community about for feedback. However, since the core clans and TeamCraft foundation is there, it might not be too hard to create.

Really, the KingdomCraft plugin isn't necessary, just an expansion. It was plenty fun without it, though if this plugin ever does get recreated and used on a high pop server (ours capped out at 40 and usually only had a max of 20 players online, so roughly 3-4 clans), a kingdom expansion plugin would be really useful. It would just expand on what features are available for clans, but add the extra layer of having a capital clan manage other clans.

    @Ryguy92250 ok.

I have been able to compile and make working teamcraft on buggit 1.9 Snapshot(the last version I have currently).

It seem that TeamCraft is a lighter fork of Clans so I will now focus on Clans.
    I will keep you informed

    @Ryguy92250
    I've got bad nes..
Clans use craftbukkint and spout, who also use craftbukkit.
So as craftbukkit is dmca, I will need to do bigger modification (if this is still achievable)

@Ryguy92250 : Clnns working on Spigot 1.9, bit I was forced to desactivate all cape code related...

I have poor internet now, but as soon as it's better, I will download and try it on last Spigot release

    Now working on 1.12.1
I've changed all the player system who was working with PlayerName, it's now working with PlayerUUID.

I will try to contact the formerly creator of this mod to see if he have the src for Kingdom And how could I put the final release i'e done online (like bukkintdev, or only his github)

    I will keep you informed.
