Hello, I've been trying to find a way to get my players to spawn in my hub world everytime they log in. I've tried plugins, but they only seem to hold the player there until after they login at which point they are sent to their last location before logging off. I'm sure there is a simple way of disabling this, and I just haven't been able to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
@DeadlyAssassin You can download my LobbyAPI plugin. Register the world and set it as the main lobby. Players will be teleported to that location every time they join the server. You can find the link in my signature below.
It says "You do not have permission to access this command" when I try to add a world. I'm the owner and I have "*". I use permissionsex, is that an issue? EDIT: It says I do not have permissions when I try to do anything in game.
@DeadlyAssassin Are there any errors in the console? All my error messages start with the [LobbyAPI] prefix. Does the message start with that prefix? If not, then it is not an issue with my plugin but another one installed.
There are no errors. Would Essentials Spawn cause a conflict? Other than that the only other spawn related plugin I have is multiverse. EDIT: LobbyAPI directory wasn't created either. I'm using spigot 1.8.8
@DeadlyAssassin First, why are you using an update that is over two years old? You should update to 1.11.2 (If you don't want to update due to the PVP changes, which is the reason a lot of servers are still 1.8, there are tons of plugins out there that revert the combat system back to the way it was in pre-1.9). Second, do the permission messages have the lobbyAPI prefixes. This narrows it down between my plugin and one of the other ones installed (may not be world related. It can be any other plugin, though I don't know why). Finally, how are you hosting the server? Is it through a home computer or is it being hosted somewhere else? It has been reported that configs and auto-generated files sometimes cannot be created if you are using hosting sites. In either case, try creating a LobbyAPI file and the config.yml manually. That may fix any issues that may come up in the future. Edit: Do you know if the plugin is enabled? If you use /plugins, is lobbyAPI on the list, and if so, is it green?
I plan on updating to 1.10 at least, eventually. I'm just kind of testing things out and playing on a version I'm familiar with. I got it to work though. In World Guard I had it set to deop players after login and it deopped me as well, so I had no permissions for LobbyAPI. I still have a question though (thank you for putting up with me thus far). How do I set the world people spawn in after logging in?
