Plugin category: Prefixes Minecraft version: 1.7.10 Suggested name: JustPrefix What I want: Just an add/remove prefix plugin which will display a colored prefix in chat, tab list, and over the players' heads. I've tried some prefix plugins over the last couple of days. A few of them have the ability to display prefixes in all three places (chat, tab list, over the head). However, those plugins seem to be bloated, or they look like a circus, or they conflict with other plugins. Just looking for a straightforward light-weight plugin that does this one thing. Ideas for commands: /prefix add <player> <prefix> /prefix remove <player> <prefix> Ideas for permissions: no permissions. only OP can use it. When I'd like it by: I'm launching the server this week, and we're held up by this issue.
All you need is some form of Chat Formatting Plugin out there (There are loads), NameTagEdit and a permissions plugin. NameTagEdit allows you to set permissions for the prefixes which can be defined in the config. The problem with making a plugin like this is that it might conflict with other prefix, chat and scoreboard plugins. EDIT: Scoreboard Teams plugins (Tablist Prefixes) Sometimes do not work for 1.7.10. I assume that since you are running 1.7.10, you are running modded, yes?
Ok, i currently have it working using both NameTagEdit and PrefixManager. I'll settle for that. Thanks everyone for the replies.
