    Plugin category: Admin Tools

    Suggested name: Alt Info

What I want: I want a plugin that uses EssentialsIP technology to log IP's.
Example: If johnny123 has the alt johnny456 it will say "[ALT] User johnny456 may be an alt of johnny123!"
The message sent to staff will be configurable.
I also want a feature added to where if a staff member does /altinfo [name] it comes up with a list of alts that have logged in under that name's IP. This plugin is useful to a server owner who wants their staff to moderate alts but might not trust them with IP's, this plugin will only have to do with IP's in the backend, no IP's will be needed for the commands
Ideas for commands: /altinfo [name] - Shows all accounts that logged in under that accounts ip. When a staff member runs the command /altinfo [name] this will pop up in chat: "Accounts under johnny123's IP (Then a list of accounts if applicable"

    Ideas for permissions: altinfo.checkalts altinfo.getalerts

When I'd like it by: 1/30/16

    EXTRA INFORMATION:

Q: What if there are no alts under the players name?
A: Then it will come up that "Johnny123's IP has no alts recorded"

If you have any more questions please post down below.

Very specific date, eh? This is a really simple plugin. I'm sure this is implemented in many other plugins.

I'm sure it has @20zinnm but some of those plugins I don't want on my server and I want as a stand alone.

    You could use EssentialsGeoIP

"EssentialsGeoIP provides Geographical IP lookup, that is the module can tell you roughly the location of where a player is logging in from, based on public IP databases".

This also allows you to check IP's and locations by typing /whois.

Another alternative is the Ban Management plugin. I use this on my server, it's a very helpful warn, mute and ban system than links into an SQL database and lets you check things on a player such as previous warnings, mutes, kicks and bans and also shows their IP on log in and when you type /bminfo. This plugin also has an /alts command to see any other Minecraft characters that have logged in with the same IP address.

Hope I could be of help,

    Best Regards,
    Jack.

I hate ban management, caused more problems for me then it did good.

*Please only post if you have ideas for the plugin or if you can do the plugin*

  6. What problems has this caused? Maybe you should be reporting bugs or submitting suggestions to the author of Ban Management instead of creating this plugin request.

Your command idea is already done in Essentials. Simply do /seen user, then do /seen (their IP).

I have a better idea for you. The plugin listens to configurable commands, such as /ban. When you ban a user, it will log that. Any user that logs on with the same IP as that logged as banned user will cause every player online with proper permissions to be notified of that.

I find it quite insulting I am offering you my help and/or advice and you are disregarding it because of a problem that can mostly likely be fixed. I use Ban Manager like I said and it works perfectly.

I posted this to get a stand alone plugin made
Not to have people spam it with essentials and BanManagement
@Jackk stop talking in that annoying font please.

  9. @lulKeith Me and @Jaackk aren't going to help you if you're going to be nitpicky and aren't respectful. If you join any forum at all you should be prepared to get other views, and you particularly can't go complaining about someone's font when they offer their help. The majority of requests are answered with simple solutions that the requester missed instead of more plugins. Not only that, but people rarely actually make plugins on here just to solve some small inconvenience. Unless we're your server developers or are being paid (not asking for money here, just saying it's not our job but a hobby), chances are someone on bukkit isn't going to do this just so that you can type one command instead of two.
