Custom textured items without resource pack

Is the above possible? I've seen people with plugins that used armor stands to create custom blocks, but is it possible to create custom textured holdable items? (Or just items that have a different custom look when held in hand).

 

im not sure but i think this is not possible.

 

It was once impossible to make custom looking cars too. Until somebody came up with the idea. I'm still not sure how it works though.

@Hex_27 It may be possible but you'll need to find a way. I'm not sure how much is available in the server but if you look through they may have block creation and you can texture with a png file or something. It's in the client but I'm not sure about the server. My guess is that it doesn't but you can try.

 

@bwfcwalshy is there another way? Like maybe miniblocks of some kind that I could use?

 

@Hex_27 You can use heads but you need to find a head with that texture.

 

I can move heads with a player's arms??
