Hopefully someone else will find this idea useful and make a plugin. I need something to disply the "Now Playing" song info from an IceCast stream. The radio stream is hosted on Caster.FM if that makes any difference.
@GRRRilla External sounds cannot be added to minecraft without client-side mods, this technically could be done with noteblocks, but thats excessively difficult.
@meguy26 He does not want to play songs in game, he is trying to display the name of the song that is "Now Playing" from that website. That being said, I do not see an API related to this website, so I do not know if this is possible in Bukkit. Sorry!
@MaTaMoR_ I'm not sure how to do it the way you're suggesting. However, I was thinking about this a lot today and it may be simpler that I thought. My radio software can generate a file with "Now Playing" info on every song change, and automatically upload it to an FTP server. So if I had a plugin that could "listen" for a certain file to be updated, then read and display the contents of that file in the chat window, most of the work could be done locally.
