Mini Essentials

Hello!
I basically need a mini version of essentials, thats all! I think you should make this plugin because some people, including myself, will very much need a plugin like this. Also, i know the thread name says needed asap, but I wouldnt mind if you take a week or less on it, it would be nice if i can get it asap though.

CMDS, Messages and Perms

/setspawn (Sets spawn for everyone, you should also beable to spawn here when you join and join for the first time)
Perm: me.setspawn
Message: Spawn Set!

/spawn (Teleports you to spawn)
Perm: me.spawn
Message: Teleported to spawn!

/sethome <Home name> (Sets a home, you should beable to have unlimited.)
Perm: me.sethome
Message: Home set!

/home <Home name> (Teleports you to your home)
Perm: me.home
Message: Teleporting to home!

/delhome <Home name> (Deletes home)
Perm: me.delhome
Message: Home deleted.

/nick (Sets nickname)
Perm: me.nick
Message: Nickname set!

*I need a config that I can configure the chat, the default one should be:
&7<Name> &a&l>> &7<Text>
*Also, I need the color system in the plugin (That has all the colors as essentials, for example
&a, &b, etc
*You should also be able to configurate the messages of each command.
*The .motd file should be added just as a custom message.
*Last, the join/leave message should be configurable. If you cant do that, it should look something like this:
JOIN : [+] <Username>
LEAVE : [-] <Username>

Why would the normal essentials not work fine? If you really wanted a smaller version of essentials, you could just open the jar file and delete the commands you don't want from the essentials plugin.yml file. Then them commands won't register at all.

 

I have a plugin, SpawnJoin, that takes care of spawns, homes, warps, hubs, lobbies and more. And its modular so you can disable commands you don't want.

 

Essentials takes up to much ram on my server, also id perfer a version i submitted.

Ill try it out, but i still might want my own version..

Ok the plugin is decent but It doesnt really suite my needs. I still need onelike this one developed.

Have you read @plobnob answer above?
And why is SpawnJoin also not good for you? Weird..

 

Just go inside the essentials.jar and remove the commands you don't want if you still don't want the normal essentials try SpawnJoin

 

How do i delete commands? Also, spawnjoin didnt suite all my needs.

As i said before, I spacifically need a plugin exactly like this.
But, if you tell me how to delete commands, that will work.

 

@iceblue1188 go into the essentials.jar and then go into the plugin.yml in that yml file you will find a string called commands, and under it will be all of the commands from essentials. just remove the command and all of its children strings from the file, save it and restart your server> The server won't register those commands anymore and will not do anything when they are used.

 

@shades161 Yes, but the classloader will still load all the classes. This is a RAM issue, not a command use issue.

 

I can take this . but you may try Essentials plugin again first

 

@raymart23 Dude, he's said it's too much RAM to use. The post that bumped this up to the top which made you read it (mine) also said as much.

@iceblue1188 My plugin SOS is a mini version of Essentials, it can do all this. The latest version (awaiting approval) adds warps and spawns in.

I could make this but there isn't quite enough detail... should sethome be able to only be used by the player who made it?

 

If you wanna just get your "own" version to show off on your server and be all like "ya I have duh custom plugin " then people aren't really gonna bother coding this. That's what developers hired on your server are for. Developers on here do it for fun and to make improvements or cool features. There's tens of plugins out there with basic things like teleportation and set home, along with nicknaming. Just search for stuff like "bukkit nickname plugin" or "bukkit set home plugin"

 

I am coding one right now but it includes way more than what you need. I'll code this plugin when I have time.
