LavaCart - Sailing on lava

Suggested name: LavaCart

What I want:
A plugin that allows players to place a minecart in lava, and ride it like a normal boat.



Ideas for commands:
/LavaCart enable --> Enables LavaCarts in the current world
/LavaCart disable --> Disables LavaCarts in the current world
/LavaCart reload --> Reloads the config

Ideas for permissions:
LavaCart.allow --> Allows the player to place and ride a minecart in lava.

When I'd like it by: ASAP (No, just kidding, take your time )

Hi Justinian6, I already tried that plugin, it does not allow the player to place minecarts in lava. It only lets the player use regular boats in lava.

 

Just saying, it would probably be a bit glitchy because minecarts aren't 'supposed' to go in lava, and the client would probably 'guess' what the minecart would do, causing it to be glitchy.

 

You're right, but if someone could try it, i would be a very happy person

Not sure this is possible. I'd recommend retexturing a boat. @Mr.Dragon

 

I don't know much about coding plugins, but if Flying Minecarts are possible, then why isn't this ?

@Mr.Dragon, I believe that is using invisible rails below (like the Carz plugin). I could make one for you with boats, but I'm not sure about minecarts.

 

how about you place the minecart in the lava, and it turns into a boat, then when you break the boat, u get a minecart, would that work? also lavaboat+ says it works with minecarts

 

@20zinnm, I'd be very happy if you tried that, but if you can make it work with minecarts I'll be even happier

@Corndogoz, The lavaboat+ plugin indeed supports minecarts to be placed in lava, but due to the fact Minecraft changed the way you leave boats/minecarts it's not useable anymore (Plugin Features: You can move when you are in a minecart by looking where you want to go and press sneak (once or twice), doing that just ejects you into the lava.

So I do believe it's possible, this plugin is just outdated.
