Where do I download the latest version "craftbukkit.jar"

You can't download it. There are too many threads like this...

 

You'll need to use spigot buildtools to get craftbukkit for 1.8.

But that's not official CraftBukkit. You should probably make that clear in your post.

 

You're right, it's better than CraftBukkit. There will never be an official CraftBukkit for 1.8. It's a dead project.

 

How is it better?

 

Spigot solved many of the performance issues craftbukkit had. Not to mention you can still get it in spite of the DMCA and it's fully updated. You can even get a plain craftbukkit jar without the spigot enhancements through buildtools if you want.

 

@rustyshakelford2 It's technically illegal, but since the servers are located in Romania, they bypassed the law.

 

Just face it guys. Bukkit is dead and it might not ever come back.
