Solved Users can claim in spawn with world guard help.

I am having a problem with how users can claim the spawn area I have created a region. I don't have factions do I need it ?

 

How are they claiming the spawn? What plugins are you using?

 

@Smokeyzebra Hello, I have the same problem: How do you deny overlapping regions with WorldGuard? Otherwise users can claim there own field everywhere. (e.g. Spawn)

@bwfcwalshy Right so I have made a spawnarea region using worldguard and made my self owner. When I test it with another account as guest (lowest level) I can claim an area with claim blocks in grief prevention. I dont want this to happen.

 

You didn't list GriefPrevention as one of your plugins! Anyway, all you need to do is make an administrative claim which includes your WorldGuard region, then /trust public. See http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/grief-prevention/pages/setup-and-configuration/ in the Plugin Compatibility section.

 

If you want you can block all command usage in your worldguard region using allowed-cmds and blocked-cmds region flags.

 

Thanks. My other question is how can I as Owner have unlimted claim blocks ? at the minute i have just added blocks to me.

Ive tried this already and it didnt work.

 

Does people claiming things in spawn actually give them a protected area and allow them to build in spawn?

You can't build in spawn but its annoying having people claiming the spawn

 

What are they using to claim it if you don't have Factions plugin !?

 

You know when you use the golden spade to claim blocks yeah thats how!?

 

Oh I see... Okay, I don't think there is something you can do with that with WorldGuard... Maybe another plugin helps you...

Another choice is to have them have a different inventory if your spawn is in a different world than the wild...

 

I already told you the solution above!! Make a GriefPrevention administration claim which overlaps the WorldGuard region and do /trust public.

 

I know you did I said thanks but there is no way of marking the answer as solved. How can I get unlimited claim blocks as Owner?

 

My response was directed towards people saying you need other plugins, etc.

I don't know. I gave myself 1,000,000 bonus claim blocks.

Keep in mind that most claims you do for the server should probably be administrative claims and therefore don't count against your claim blocks.

 

Thanks dude I didn't realise admin claims didin't use claim blocks.
