Okay so sorry if I do anything wrong I've never used this before:p lol. Okay so players on my server can build but can't break it doesn't say they don't have permission it says nothing just replaces the block. I've tried to find the answer for this for like 2 days. They're on survival, I have added the permissions essentials.break and essentials.build and I have deleted essentials anti build. My plugin list is on that picture because I don't want to list them all. Please helppp

    1. Try updating the players to survival again with /gamemode survival. I find it helps the game "come to its senses".
    2. You deleted Essentials AntiBuild? That was not a good idea. It's not terribly difficult to get the permissions working out of it, and I'm not sure how well the individual parts of Essentials are going to work. Those are really designed to work together. I would suggest a clean install of Essentials. Also, without AntiBuild, those permissions don't exist. Essentials.break never existed- it was essentials.build.break. It's essentials.build.* to get everything to work.
    3. Make sure players aren't in protected regions.

I apologize. I hit "reply" instead of "edit".

You shouldn't have to, no. Groupmanager is not packaged together with Essentials. It's a separate download, and I don't think there's too much if anything about Groupmanager in the Essentials config or code. That said, I would suggest shutting the server temporarily while you're reinstalling Essentials, and not operating it while Essentials is gone. I'm not terribly clear on how this all works, but operating a bunch of configs and working with permissions that point to a nonexistent plugin seems like a bad idea. That could just be my superstition though.

your permission plugin can have 1000 made up fake nodes that have nothing to do with any existing plugins. Not advised, as its just extraneous junk, but having nodes for plugins you dont have wont break anything...

Removing antibuild from essentials will not break anything. It is an extraneous part of the essentials package. Removing essentials.jar - yes, that will break everything else in the essentials package. EssProtect , EssSpawn, EssAntibuild - all optional files depending how you use them.

"Keep it for the sake of keeping it and granting permisions" is foolish IF you are not using it to distinguish between default player ranks and higher-up ranks. IF you are distinguishing new joins from others, not wanting to allow new joins to build and break, then keep the antibuild and establish your permissions correctly. IF not, nix the plugin - otherwise, you're patting down everyone on the server for every movement, break, place to see if they have permission, which EVERYONE on the server will have, then repeating it all all over again for the next movement, break, place... running stop-and-check code needlessly on everyone, when there is no one it plans to stop.
