    Hello,

I am planning on setting up a server at somepoint and would like to have the best possible free ways of preventing players from hacking and gaining unfair advantadges in PVP as any server owner would.
(I saw one paid plugin on spigot which seems to stop tracers but I'm not willing to pay for plugins as of this moment which may be abandonded in the future)

Ive installed NoCheatPlus for a start and find it very useful for blocking a majority of hacks, but still i find it extremely lacking in some areas of "popular" hacks used by people which manage to bypass.

I am thinking of using Orebfuscator as well - some people say it can be quite resource dependant, how would it fair on a 5GB RAM w / Intel i 7 CPU ? (Along with nocheatplus and mcmmo which im using and are probably my most resource heavy plugins and about 40 other plugins such as factions etc etc)

Im looking for any other plugins which sucessfully block the following hacks and cheats that ncp and orebfuscator cant --- Kill Aura |
Critical Hits(IDK if its possible to stop either way) |
    Auto soup |
Fast bow (Recent bypasses on newer hacked clients easily throw ncp's protection for this out the window unfortunately) |
    Tracers |
ESPS (Will orebfuscator be able to block ESP hacks?) |
    Aimbot (Melee weapons) |
    Anti Velocity/Anti knockback |

So yeah, if you guys would like to recommend any plugins or methods of stopping these hacks and if its wise for me to run Orebfuscator or not I would appreciate it, thanks.

TheYetti02 NCP blocks everything you listed except for client side modules such as tracers and other ESPs.

I would have to disagree with you there, I can name a few clients which easily bypass NCP's Kill Aura/Crits/Aimbot/Autosoup/Anti Knock/Fast bow

From what I can see, NCP TRIES to detect these hacks but 90% of the time it won't pick up on them unless the clients are poorly coded.

These are all public and highly used clients and I've tested the majority of them and they do bypass.
I haven't tested them 100% accurately but some of them definitely do bypass without any hassle or problems.
WeepCraft - Kill Aura | Aimbot
Resilience - Fastbow | Crits | Kill Aura | Anti Velocity | Auto Soup(Not always) | Aimbot (Bypasses all of them)
Mars - Crits | Kill Aura | Auto Soup(Not always) | Aimbot (Everything except Anti Velocity)
Dauntless - Crits | Kill Aura | Aimbot
Huzuni - Crits | Kill Aura | Aimbot

  4. TheYetti02 Skionz There is a paid plugin which blocks most of this.

They use invisible entities to make the player just hit the air and the player gets kicked.

I already said I was thinking of Orebfuscator in my original post. But will it stop ESPs as well and or how resource dependant is it with some of the plugins I've listed?

  6. TheYetti02 Orebfuscater will not block ESP's as far as I am aware.

Hmm ok. I've seen one plugin on Spigot but only blocks a few. Which paid plugin were you thinking of? If it blocks stuff like Kill Aura pretty handy I wouldn't mind paying for it. Could you give me the link please?

Oh, that was the Plugin I was thinking of as well lol. But as seen in the description, it blocks "ForceField".
ForceField and KillAura can be 2 different types of hacks. KillAura is the more "modern" ForceField I suppose as it will normally bypass in most clients but in the tutorial video he showed it only blocked ForceField.

Technically since this spawns entities around the player it would work for Kill Aura as well?? Thanks.

  11. NCP is setting the limits the clients adapt to, please mind that. We don't detect "aura" or "force field", but we limit what they can do by means of lower-level checks. Certainly we can do better, but with the default settings ordinary or at least good PVPers stand some chance in fighting. We are aware that many PVP servers reduce the PVP-settings of NCP very far, in order to make fighting with high-latency players more playable, but such will always go at the cost of allowing more "kill aura", "force field" and the like. Future plans are to make those playable too, but then and partly already now, the clients are running a "fight bot" which fights like a very good PVPer. That is and will be hard to detect at all. We might be heading towards a phase in which you can only detect the good fight cheats by means of self-learning statistics based systems (not sure such has been implemented for Minecraft by anyone yet), but then it's also a luxury thing to detect them, because they act like playing.

The currently "en vogue" technique of spawning NPCs "behind" the player will be bypassed at some point soon, be sure. If i was a client developer i would bypass those within minutes of coding, but i would not bypass NCP, i would adapt to it. That's why we prefer to use methods that limit what the can do and what they can not do, but which they can not bypass.

I see, that makes more sense now and spawning entities around or behind the players seems to already have bypassed in some clients that I've used, there's a way of being able to see the entity but it does slow you down and you can't use hacks such as kill aura effectively I guess.

Anyways, NoCheatPlus is still probably the best free Anti Hack plugin out there. I'm not doubting that and I understand it's a phase of you limiting what clients can do, then the creators bypassing, then the cycle repeats.
I will be buying the extra plugin which was suggested by

Thank you all for your insight on this matter and gl.
