Hey, I've been trying to find a place where I can get a custom server ip such as play.(server name).com or (server name).com, but when I look for custom server ip's, all I find are ip's such as (server name).no-ip.org. And that doesn't look as professional. Anyone know where I can find a play.(server name).com or (server name).com ip? Thanks
@FartingRamen Yes it is. Why would they give away a free domain when they can sell it? You never get free food unless its scraps. Those no-ip.com subdomains are the scraps.
I know that @Skionz said noip websites were scraps but.. If you have a small server which is just starting out its the best option to go for, because you never know, you're server may not work out as planned so have the noip domain for around a month or so as a 'trial' almost, if you're server gradually gets bigger than look into purchasing one. Head over to http://www.noip.com/ - its the best for custom ip NAMES, which is what I think you're looking for. Its free but the only downside is that the ip will look like this: <Your server name>.no-ip.com so It wont be something like <Your server name>.com Another good one is http://dyn.com/ - This is good because you can get a wide range of pre-set ip's. I registered with this a long time ago and it was crumcraft.chickenkiller.org (There's a bunch of ip's to choose from you just put your name infront). The only downside is that its harder to navigate around the site so it takes some time trying to find things. Just find a good tutorial on youtube and you should be fine! Hope this helped!
