This is a small plugin I made for the hell of it. Allows you to use a 'smarter' /tele x y z. What this plugin does is simply search for the closest safe y position to your intended location. Pin Point Precision... sort of. To use you simply type "/ppt [x] [z] [y]" If you leave the z and y blank it will fill in your current position. If you only leave y blank it will put in your y position. I can guarantee that 99.98% of the time you will never end up in a block again! I'll probably add to it to make it search in a square around the target to get the closest to the position on the x, z, and y axis. This addition would also apply to... The Cave Elevator! The commands are /up and /down. This simply calls the methods to move the player separately so that the plugin only looks in one direction. Want to get to the top of that tree? Just stand below it and type "/up". Want to find out if there is anything below you? Just throw down a "/down" and find out! If the plugin can't find a safe area it will simply bail and inform the player. Download: <Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url> Source
Great plugin, but it could use some logic to load chunks at the target location before porting you there. if you try to port anywhere that's not currently loaded you fall under the world and die.
@MjrStryker Yeah I agree, the whole plugin was made trying to teach one of the players on my server how to program a plugin though, so it was designed as baisc haha.
might this be possible to add permission? This works well, except i dont want all users to have permission to teleport or /up or /down .. When i tested this, it appears that normal users cannot use /up , but they can use /ppt and /down ... not sure why. Any help would be nice
Yeah, this is now a very outdated plugin that is not using any permissions. Besides I think worldguard or one of those main plugins has a command called /ascend or /descend that does the same thing. Wish I knew that before I made it
i am also looking for a direct x y z teleportation system... i came back here hoping that it had been updated, but alas, it hasn't --- merged: Mar 5, 2011 5:22 PM --- the closest thing i've found is http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/tp...our-teleporting-needs-multiworld-support.215/
