Placing diagonal block

Hey guys, I'm kinda new at coding and understand the basics, but I need to ask because In struggling to find the code for it, I'm just making a walk on water plugin and to reduce block lag, it places the next z coord block for you. I've got the block placing right, but how would I make it place - 1 y and + 1 x at the same time. I can only seem to place the z on the same level as the player.

Wede333 why do you make it so difficultly? if the block under the player is water, enable fly-mode. if he gets 2 blocks over it or the block under him is no water anymore, disable fly. maybe you should combine fly-mode with slow-potion-effect to make sure that thep layer cant be faster than normal running

Wede333 Use Block#getRelative (int modX, int modY, int modZ). You may also use BlockFaces which are a wrapper for the modX, modY and modZ.
