Would be the best update ever

Minecraft friend list:

I think its time, friend list is a very big thing in games and I think minecraft needs it more then many others do. Think of it you play on a server with friends u don't have on skype or steam or facebook etc, u met them ingame on the server and one day the server is down and never comes up again. You'll never see them again, its a sad thing. I remember people I've played with, i miss them / the memory of them. Friendlist would solve this problem! + It would make u able to chat with friends and see when they are playing, maybe u could invite them to the currently server u play on.

Isn't time Mojang? Please for us and for me!

 

The thought had occurred to me many times before to make this a sort of mod, but I just don't have the resources to do it, like a server to run the friend list and things from
