I was wondering why isn't there an app for Bukkit on the AppStore? Just like Reddit I think Bukkit should have its own app, this would make it much easier to browse, reply to threads and check my messages.

Necrodoom Its not that I have any issues I was just wondering why there isn't an app for Bukkit, Reddit has an app but you can go to there website anyways. I think this would just be alot easier.

Marten Mooij it would mean someone would have to code it for bukkit, which isn't easy, also since bukkit is made from several different parts which you'd need to handle differently each one.

You can make a website 'link' to use as an app which would direct you to bukkit, no?

Necrodoom I have no experience w/ making a Bukkit app so I don't know how difficult this would be to make, Just an idea I thought of.

Apps for websites seem pretty pointless to me, as websites are "Apps" for your browser.

Reddit has no official app either.

Why does everything need to have an app? It's called using your browser lol.
But at any rate, making this app would take away from development of CraftBukkit, unless someone else is willing to make it. What are most apps written in anyway? Objective-C? All the devs are Java people, not C people :p

  11. ZanderMan9 Depends on what OS you're developing for - Android apps, for example, are written in Java :p

AdamQpzm Then we can make the app and include an internal Bukkit Server! Now server owners can 1click download and host servers from their phone! While they are having lag fun on their server, their phone would be nearly on fire!

Lol, this was the first thing that pop'd in my head when I read that XD

Also, theoretically it can be done. A RaspberryPi can host a really small server of about 3-4 players within the same chunk area.

Gamecube762 And I'll host a server on a fax machine hooked to 10 other fax machines.
    I like fax machines.

Surely someone can do it freelance, right? I mean hawkfalcon made a Chrome extension for the forums, so surely someone kind enough would do an app? Although to be honest, I think Tapatalk is fine, but I've never used it.

Or someone could make a mobile web app and force the user to add it to their home screen?

I am actually slowly working on an unofficial app, taking my time for it though, not doing much with looks of it atm. Building for android. Won't do apple.
