Hello, I am looking for a plugin that tracks how much time a player is on the server and reports it in a simple way. (text or log file would be best)

I tried looking in the existing plugins, but the bukkit search system is mainly useless and most of the ones I found were outdated.

Please let me know if you know of a nice simple playtime tracker.

    Thanks

Yeah, like that, but updated for the current version. That version is for 1.7.4 and if you read a few of the comments you will see it is having issues with the current version.

pookshuman I thought you are the one who needs the plugin? Try it and see if it fits your needs.

Something wrong with asking them if it works before I install it?
It hasn't been updated since January, seems like a reasonable question

pookshuman Outdated doesn't mean broken till proven otherwise

pookshuman Considering most plugins don't break with every update, the Bukkit API helps with code that isn't meant to break plugins. There are some plugins that dig into MC's code which will make them version sensitive.

Also, plugin not being updated since ____ doesn't mean the plugin has yet to break, especially since the developer of this plugin (which I quoted from the plugin's page in my earlier post) says that the plugin will be updated this week.

All of that is true information, but I don't see any harm in asking if any of you personally know if it works. If you don't know, then you can just not give an answer, or say "I don't know"

pookshuman It may seem like we are trying to avoid answering that, but we aren't. We don't know if it works, its not our job to have every updated plugin on our server to see if it works. We tell you to give it a try and see so you know if it works for you and so we know too. We know we can recommend these plugins because of many factors, the major one being its on Bukkit Dev.

If the plugin doesn't work for you or isn't how you want it, a dev here can always make it for you. There are a few downside to that though: Waiting on a dev to make it(probably from scratch), plugins made on here are NOT checked for malicious code, plugins may have more or less bugs/errors(or features) than the plugins being kept up-to-date on Bukkit Dev.

Like I said, if you don't know, then you can just not answer.

pookshuman Please try the plugin on a test server and report back if it is working for you or not.
If it isn't working then please also provide your server log

Thank you, but if I had an issue, I would go to the developer of the plugin first.

You would be one of the first ones to be honest. Not all errors are depending on the plugin itself, sometimes it is also dependency's and bad configs. That is why I said it.

I have had mostly good luck with developers. Sure, some of them are too busy to help and some of them are rude, but at least 70% of them or so are helpful and supportive.
