See topic. I've got all the port forwarding in place and have been successfully running a Minecraft vanilla server for the last several weeks, but when I tried to get Bukkit going, only my local IP address is able to connect to the server.

Other computers in my network cannot connect via internal IP or external IP.
Mine can connect in internal IP only.

But when I pop back into vanilla server, everyone's able to connect. Server.properties' IP field is blank, port forwarding is fully set for 25565, as is Windows Firewall. Very frustrating.

Hmmmm, not sure what causes this but I've heard of it happening before. Are there any errors while starting the server? Can you post your server.log file? I'm going to go look up one of the old threads and look for a solution.

Why on earth are you using 754 anyway?

    Use 740, the recommended build.

That was a troubleshooting attempt, when 740 was giving me the issue to begin with. ;)

your friends using cracked clients? If are the settings on offline? Are you properly portforwarded?

Sure you have Windows Firewall configured for Bukkit and not just the vanilla server? Have you tried disabling it to see if that works? Also, have you tried enabling offline mode? Both of those are probably worth a shot.

Okay, disabling Windows Firewall entirely did the trick. What's the proper config for Bukkit in Windows Firewall, if I may ask?

Im having the exact same problem except I've done everything that the OP has and it still won't work. I have port-forwarded, friends have PF, I have checked my ext. IP and have given it to them, I have added the rules with win. firewall and then I have disabled win. firewall. I am using b740jnks. the server-ip: is blank. I have disabled my anti-virus. I dont know what else to do. No errors when I am in the server. Friends just join and then time out. I see their character spawn but they disappear shortly afterward. They say that they just continuously log in and then time out. I can get in just fine though using localhost. On the minecraftserver.jar I didnt have any problems and friends could log in. I'm new to Bukkit.. and its extremely frustrating. Please help! Thanks.

    Bump. Please help me!

@Wilbo, try this proxy out. It's helped with a few of our players.

(Double click the jar file to run it.)
