BuildOff Plugin

Hello, i would like a buildoff plugin that can be used to make a automated buildoff.

If you don't know what a buildoff is it is were 2 + players are given a theme and have to build against each other for the given amount of time. At the end people get to vote for the person they think did the best build that fitted the theme.

Plugin name suggestion: BuildOff

Commands:

- /buildoff start {player one} {player two} {theme} {time to build} ~ This is tp the contestants to there building plot set by the plugin and add them so they can build there and will broadcast something on the line off 'Buildoff starting, player1 vs player2, Theme:Theme, Time:Time

- /buildoff vote {1/2} ~ Vote for player1 or player2

- /buildoff stop ~ Stop a buildoff mid game if needed.

- /buildoff clear ~ This will clear the plots of all blocks ready for the next game.

- /buildoff create {1/2} ~ This creates the plots once selected with WorldEdit

- /buildoff Winner ~ This announces the person with the most votes witht he message 'The winner of the BuildOff is.... {winner}!' This will also clear the usernames from the database ready for the next game.

Other commands that may be implemented.

Permission:

- BuildOff.Start

- BuildOff.Vote

-BuildOff.stop

- BuildOff.clear

- BuildOff.Create

-BuildOff.*

What i want the plugin to do:

First i want to be able to set the plots, so define the building plots. Theses plots will be protected so that people not in the contest can't enter the plot or build in the plot. So when you start the the buildoff it will add the contestants to it so they can enter and build.

Secondly a timing feature, so every 5 mins in the buildoff it will announce, so like '10 mins left, 5 mins left' then goes to 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,Stop at the point it says stop it tp's the people out and removes them from the protection.

The Voting system will work on the players IGN's. So you will type /buildoff vote {playername} to cast your vote for the winner.

The /buildoff winner command will work by taking the person with the most amount of votes and broadcasting it in the message.

I have made a plugin like this for my own server. It works almost like you want, but the commands are different and same for the permission nodes. If you would like to see the plugin work, then you can add me on Skype (name: Flexo013). The plugin is only currently running on 1 server that I own (play.polygoncraft.net).

 

Ill make it if ya want, just tahg me if @flex013 hasnt made it yet

 

I have made it, and in about a month I will post a version on Bukkit.
