I am looking for a plugin that auto equips all the armor in the essentials kit when /kit is ran. This is used for a kit pvp server! This plugin needs no commands, perms, or config. I just want it to auto equip all the armor in the essentials kit being selected.

    name idea: AutoArmor

You are asking for someone to modify/add a feature to Essentials.

Yes I see... but some people don't want to be wasting more ram on a large plugin.

So once again. Can you make a plugin for this or shall I go find someone else?

    Why not read the rules?

    billytheDOLPHIN
Hey. I'm not posting off topic. You're posting against the rules - twice.

    Just a friendly reminder that:
    a) Breaking the rules is bad
    b) I'm not being an <removed>. I made that <removed> plugin for you so you can look good to your friends. Your only reply was to edit all your comments to say 'closed'

[edit by JaguarJo: removed insulting language. No need for that.]

And I thank you very much for making that plugin. We had a good laugh after I told them about your work. I would just like to point out that they wouldn't add an update like this to essentials unless there is a large demand for it. So I guess I will be searching elsewhere for a dev.

One of the rules stated "Fix or modify current plugins - Submit a ticket to that developer on BukkitDev!". zombiekiller753 is not being an asshole. His just telling you that what your requesting is against the rules.

billytheDOLPHIN If you install essentials, you already have a huge load of ram wasted, because i don't think you would need all the features.

I have 10 plugins on my local server and it takes me 1 sec to reload. If i have esentials installed, it takes me almost 2 seconds to reload my server.

I think essentials is one of the ram-heaviest plugins that you can get on your server, because it is a little bit 'overloaded' with features.

ShearsSheep I think hes asking for an external plugin that would modify the behavior of essentials, and that is possible and not against the rules.

    CoderCloud what?
First off, why are you /reloading the server? Most plugins do not handle /reload well, essentials may handle it better than most, but thats not the point.

Second off, did you actually did profiling to essentials, or are you just judging by the amount of the features? Essentials features lazy loading, which means features that are not used will not be loaded. In addition, essentials features are mostly lightweight, and will not have any noticeable impact on the server. And lastly, there are way heavier plugins than essentials, for example, block logging plugins, region handlers (see worldguard), and even them are not much compared to minecraft it self.

Third off, this requires modifying the code of essentials most likely, as how are you planning to match what kit gives what items, and equip the armor given by the kit?

Fourth off, do not double post.

<removed> I didn't ask if you could make it. Could you please go find something else to do? Your not proving any points...

billytheDOLPHIN this might be possible with the essentials API which is not against the rules at all. But just a heads up if you are nicer people will want to make you the plugin

Necrodoom If you talk about RAM (RandomAccessMemory), only the size of data loaded counts into that and since essentials has lots of code, it will use up more space in ram. If you would look for CPU usage, shure essetials is good, but you would't get any diffrence with a good coded extra kit plugin.

I personally don't like essentials, it wouldn't make any diffrence if you install many plugins, because the craftbukkit handling if plugins is really good, so a plugin that is coded good won't take up more RAM or CPU than the essentials feature for it.

CoderCloud if you are talking code loaded in RAM, I'm sure you can spare some KB to load some more files.

Locked. billytheDOLPHIN You cannot request on here for someone to modify an existing plugin. If you want a plugin that hooks into Essentials without modifying it, that's a different thing, but you need to specify that.

Also, name-calling is not acceptable behavior on these forums and will not be tolerated. You can disagree with someone without flinging insults. This goes for everyone. Try to keep it civil next time.
