Solved Plugins not being detected.

Hello all, I've recently gotten the motivation to start a bukkit server it took me a while and i port forwarded and everything but when i try and put the plugins in the folder and start it it doesn't detect the plugins and just goes on with out loading them. I'm not a noob and i have done a lot of things with plugins and i believe its something with the start.bat not even attempting to load the plugins or the craft bukkit i guess that's where most of the commands are. I'm almost sure i do it all correct its not hard just put the plugin .jar file in the plugins folder i have done this many times and it always works i tried factions it didn't work and creeper heal that didn't work so well either and much more, the only thing that works is Jcommandessentials and that's just a simple .jar file as well. I'm running 1.7.9 dev build and my platform is windows 7

 

Alpha4567 Try switching to a recommended build instead of a Dev build and make sure the plugins are compatible with your current version. Post back if it still occurs.

 

EMT62899 I just did that recommended build and everything a plugin that's 1.6.4 it still did not load the plugins i've found that it try's to load factions.jar on 1.7.9 dev build but it says it couldn't load that's it any other ideas?

 

Alpha4567 The newer versions of factions also require that you have mcore installed. Check that you have that.

For other plugin loading errors, look to see if the error says anything about unsupported major.minor version. If that's in there, then it probably means that your server is still on Java6 but the plugins need you to use Java7.

 

Are there any errors in your server console like this?

Failed to load plugin factions! (is it up to date?)

 

JaguarJo I do have Mcore but I am running Java6 so i believe that would be the problem ill get back to you. Thanks!
