How to take ownership of a plugin?

Hi, I am needing to know how can i take ownership of a plugin that has not been updated for a long time? The plugin ishttp://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/prisonsuite/ Everyone wants me to update but i need permissions & Ownership of the plugin!

Contact the Author/Developer, Asking for permission to take over.

 

All ready did but no reply back in 2 weeks now.

Then obviously you can't take over since you don't have their permission. Though you could make a plugin just like it and upload it yourself

 

Here the problem they have not been online since 2013 So ya i don't think they are going to be doing any upgrading the plugin. But someone told me that bukkit can take over the plugin an dcontact them and if they don't contact them back short amount of time then you can take ownership of it.

Never heard of that, So I don't know if it's true or not.

 

xxmobkiller I would love if you would take over it and update the mine plugin

 

Well you can't just take over someones plugin with out their permission, so I recommend trying harder to reach the owner.
