You can ask for a version compiled with java 6, or use a different OS for your server. You can install multiple operating systems on a laptop
jprules maybe try uninstalling your Java completely and install it again. If that doesn't work. Idk. plugin source code looks all fine, shouldn't make a difference with windows or mac...
minecraftfailzzz where can i do that im pretty noob @minecraftfailzzz i uninstalled my java like they sed here http://www.java.com/en/download/help/mac_uninstall_java.xml and i still get this error http://updo.nl/file/a0d620a1.png don't get it. i have the newest java update timtower how can i use a different OS on my server? Insert windows cd? But I don't know anything about mac, there are plenty of tutorials on how to update your java on mac.
timtower jprules I agree, java and Mac don't like each other very well. I'm really not sure what could be wrong.
Old version of mac OS stops Java updates, only way to get passed this is by updating your OS. jprules
That's because Apple shipped their own version of Java, but I believe they've stopped doing that now. You can change the java version in either system preferences or via an external program (still shipped with the OS) depending on your OSX version, which I'm assuming OP did not do after installing a new version.
I have mac and they stopped shipping their version of java. Finally, we can get java 7. Hey jprules , I noticed nobody was helping and thus I threw this together. http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/death-firework-spawn/ go ahead and try it out! EDIT: Once they approve it of course. Hopefully soon EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
jprules If you have a server startup script, try changing the path to Java 7. That will fix the error. The file could be something.sh.
