MOTD Color Help

I am a noob when it comes to servers. I was trying to change my motd color, yet while I found success in changing the color, The "§" symbol shows up in my motd. For example, if I type in "§6 Hello" on the server properties, it will show "§ Hello" (in gold) on the motd. I am on the Mac, just so you know. Thanks in advance!

 

Try using "\u00A7" followed by the color code, for example:

"\u00A74 Hello" - This would show up as red, because we used "4"

Use "\n" to create a second line in your MOTD

It was changed in a recent update when they re-did the multiplayer menu. (Server icons, extra MOTD line, fixed ping, etc)
