    Hey there fellow bukkit developers!
So one day i said to my self "Why don't i make Minecraft plugins?". So i searched on how to do that, and i found a good YouTuber(PogoStick29dev). SO i saw his tutorials, but i found it hard to understand why that was happening, and what did this line of code did, etc. So at school, we started doing some coding, and i fell in love(kinda) with coding. So i learned JavaScript(thinking it had something to do with Minecraft, and i still don't know if it has, because apparently JavaScript is for website) and then went and searched on google and found that i need to learn java. SO i started with the basics... But just watching YouTube tutorials, wont get me to where i want.. I am just copying and pasting.... So, all i want is for someone to make me a diagram(if i would call it like that) on where & how to start bukkit coding.. Like steps.

Also, if anyone can like, teach me(without paying) how to code bukkit plugins...

Mainly, i want someone to post like the steps on how to code... Then if anyone wants, they can teach me(if anyone wants and is willing to do something like that).

Well thanks for reading this(if you did)

    Hope someone will help me...
And i don't want to search on google about this topic, i have seen enough... Now to ask a proper bukkit developer...

    Thanks
    Kind regards,
    Tim

never give up! Learn new code languages, Improve yourself at languages you already know, help people on sites like stackoverflow.com & the bukkit forums (this helps you practice everything!), if you see you are havling problems with things in a code language, don't just find the answer, teach it yourself! Also: keep practicing everything, On my 8th, I knew how to create beautiful HTML websitess, then i didn't did it for a few years; i forgot almost all of it...
Teach yourself new API's: when you know the bukkit API, dont go make bukkit plugins for years: teach yourself new things like creating SWING applications or android apps or Server/Client applications!
And as this message starts with, NEVER GIVE UP!

Thank you for the text. So yeah I learned a lot through bukkit. I mean, I learned english by myself (I started and there isn't any java version in Portuguese, I realized i had to learn english, and I'm glad I could do it :) My primary language is Portuguese. You may find some errors but you can still understand me :p). Yeah that's true: never give up. Hope your text works as a help text for other peoples ;)

I learned how to code Bukkit through PogoStick29Dev.

I learned how to code myself, by using common sense and experimenting with different classes and what their methods do.

Everyone has a way of learning. I started through videos but copy and paste for me meant I learned nothing

So I got the Java For Dummies Which I am reading at the moment. I learn Java 101 from Pogostick that helps alittle but I learn from Reading I'm learning Python at the same time as Java as it will give me a better understanding of everything and once I've learned Java For Dummies I'm not going to make Minecraft Plugins for the rest of my Life I want to program Games so I will Buy this Book and read Android Application Developer (All In One) For Dummies

And like Minecrafter_NL Said Never Give Up otherwise you won't learn anything :p :)

I learnt Java through thenewboston - I started with Bukkit, found it hard as I did not know the basic Java syntax, which am still learning, but learning Java basics has helped me a lot. Should try and watch thenewboston - it's tedious but he explains stuff very well!

Nothing wrong with Visual Basic, it's not the syntax your learning it's the architectures... i.e. loops, conditionals, arrays, and so forth. For the most part, those don't change regardless of which language your using. Much like real world languages, each of them have a word for "Apple", it doesn't matter which language your using... it still refers to the same fruit.

When I was in school, they taught Turbo Pascal. I have colleagues that learned Fortran (punch card programming).

When and only when you have watched all his Bukkit episodes you want to start making minigames don't watch his, they were really bad. The way I learned how to make minigames was I watched a speed code, a few times over, took notes and went from there.

This is the exact one I watched, there was no part two so I had to take what I saw, apply it and improve it using tips and tricks I had picked up from pogostick29dev. It did show me the base of making a minigame.

PiguFilms Yea the books are handy but it depends on what you mean by easy to understand it will be hard for the parts you don't know and want to learn because he explains quite alot of the different ways and you mite not need them all to make Bukkit plugins but for most of it yea its easy to understand with little on the side stuff like warnings and telling you, that how import certain stuff are so yea
