Please Help me. Netgear problem

    Hi, Ive been at this for a while trying to figure this out. I have looked up net gear tutorials with mine craft servers but, no ones genie looks like my net gear genie and I can't do anything to ip addresses when trying to port forward.
    I need some help if anyone can please help. it makes me have to pick one of the "10.*.*.*" ip's but, that is pan. I wan internet.

  2. Kiefer1993: Your router is connected with its WAN port to internet.

    Now, to connect a server, - i guess your local network is working at ip 10.*.*.* something like this.
    Goto port forward and type in the computers IP and port number you want forwarded, for example 25565.

    Why the interface wants you to type a local ip, is that the internet is already counted for at the WAN port, you don't need to type that in anywhere else, if you already can surf etc. Now it only need to know where to send a port request and to what PC at your local network.
    At the server, enter server.properties and edit server-ip= to match the PC's LOCAL IP. Also edit the port to match.

    ok so i changed that in server properties i put my 10.*.*.* number and have the same number on my port forward for my router internal ip. what ip do i give my friend who wants to join? 192.168 number or my computers own actual ip which is like this 68.***.***.** and after any of those do i put :25565?
