  1. Okay its kind of a strange type of lag. I have 4 differnt lag plugins including NoLagg. None of them fix this so i just got rid of them and kept NoLagg and one other one. Anyways. This lag doesn't start up until i'm in that area for say 5 min? Otherwise this spot is lag free everytime i restart the server and log back on into that area the lag goes away. But when i stay in that area for 5 or more min, the lag comes back. FPS drops to ZERO and chucks also drop to ZERO. Anywhere else on the server is nice and speedy.

This server gets 1GB Down and Upload
    2GB of ram
    Hosted by Exodus Servers.

I even removed all my plugins every one of them. Lag didn't go away. I Used world edit and cut that whole area from sky to bedrock, lag still didn't go away. I figured maybe it was an entity, or lava or fire? But no even with it all cut, lag remained.

I should say if i play on the server anywhere on the server for longer than 5 min the lag in that area comes back. Cuz i was like a mile away and went to that area and there was the lag greeting me cheerfully :)

  6. And lose all my progress? I don't think so. I built a ton in this world.

I did //remove all 20000 and it says it removed 14 entities

  8. Its not an issue with entities. I type clear lag command it says "removed 4 entities" 4 entities are not going to lag a server.

not entities, maybe there are alot of animals/villagers or other mobs.

I had it once on my server, there was over 1000 villagers in an underground building.

go and look for the largest chunk with /lagg chunk

You could download the specific files that those chunks are in and remove some of the chunks with mcedit. New chunks should generate when you re-upload the files and go back to that area. I've done this a couple of times for messed up chunks and it worked for me.

classicgamelover85 *sigh* If you care so much about a 16 block area, I suggest you reset the world.

oh sorry, you are right as always :)

  14. Lol its not a 16 block area more like a 900000 block area. My spawn is quite huge?

All of you were wrong actually. Its not entities or chunks. No offense but I'd put more faith in what my server host said. We did a timings review. They read the report and it turns out its red stone. They said somewhere in that area is a red stone that is ticking very fast and causing the server to have a low-tick rate.

Unless there is a plugin that could limit red stone tick i have to go through and search the area for this redstone that's ticking so fast and break it down.

Anyone know of a bukkit plugin that could help with redstone performance?

classicgamelover85 Oh, a redstone repulser circuit, had problems with these in the past as well.. Best i can suggest is something like worldedit to remove all redstone wire in the area. Or if you dont want to, use MCedit or other tool to find the repulser circuit.

classicgamelover85 lol, my first comment was to contact your host provider, so I am correct. +1

I'd suggest searching on google for a program &/Or a plugin that can remove all redstone that's on from a world/server.
