This is a rewrite of my ZandsHat plugin for hay0. It adds the commands "/hat" and "/blockhead" witch will put the currently held block on your head.



Supported Plugins:
The following plugins are supported but not needed.

• Permissions - 'blockhead.hat' for "/hat", 'blockhead.hat.items' for "/hat [block id]", 'blockhead.hat.give.players.items' for "/hat [player] [block id]" and, 'blockhead.hat.give.groups.items'.

Features:

• The use of "/hat" place the block in-hand on your head
• The use of "/hat [block id]" to place that block id on your head
• The use of "/hat [player] [block id]" to place a block on another players head
• The use of "/hat group [group] [block id]" to places blocks on all the players in that group

You need to put single quotes around the permissions nodes like so:

Please update to latest RB to be moved back to releases.

 

Tested in 677 everything seems to be working. There is a know bug where stuff like /hat torch or /hat 50 cause an Error but I have yet to see the reason why it only happens for some items. I'm normally buzzy so I haven't been updating this post unless if i made an update.

 

Does this plugin prevent players from taking the block out and adding it to their inventories?

 

if a player use "/hat" 1 of the blocks in the currently held item stack is removed from inventory and put on there head.
If an item is put on there head with any of the other commands it puts an item with a quantity of 0 on there head. If they try to place it or put it on a stack it will just vanish but they are still able to craft with it so they could turn something like a diamond block into 9 diamond.

Can everybody use all the commands? Because then people could get free diamonds by putting a diamond block on their head and taking it off.

 

@Zand so is this plugin being supported?

 

if your using permissions only those blockhead.hat.give.players.items' or 'blockhead.hat.give.groups.items' can use the commands that allow a player set a hat by block name or ID and if you not using permissions its only server ops.

In a sense I have been keeping an eye on it and updating it so it works with the latest bucket build but, haven't had time this month to add new stuff.

 

Any MOD who can place it back to Plugin Releases? I think it deserves it (just my opinion )

 

I dont know if anyone have mentioned this bug but if you have a waterblock in your hand ant type /hat then you get a large waterblock through your boddy, here is a pic :

you can't see it if you look in first person wich is good, and I guess it is pretty nice even though it isn't supposed to be like that. I think it would be even cooler if you had the whole thing on your head, that a BIG hat

To remove the hat, just check your equipped items in the inventory xP

 

How do you make colored blocks as hats? I tried 35:14 but it wasn't recognized

yea, thats because water isnt supposed to actually be a block that you can hold. however, notch had to test things with water when making it obviously, and so he simply added that texture for inventory water. the blocks on your head aren't actual blocks, their just enlarged sprites of dropped blocks, which accounts for that being put in your body.

THIS IS ALL INFORMATION I HAVE GUESSED, I AM NOT CERTAIN ABOUT ANY OF THIS, BUT I AM PRETTY SURE ITS TRUE. i have to start adding that when i make my guesses about things.

@Zand hey man, this finally broke when we moved up to 818+ Any chance you can drop in a quick update for the 1.6 servers? I get no errors on startup, but it always says that you can't use a certain block type...for all block types.
