Dispensers Place Blocks

Hi, since pistons are going to be in an upcoming version of minecraft, I was thinking of various things I would like to build.

One idea would involve a dispenser that, when filled with blocks, will actually place them in the square nextto/above/below them. This way, the dispenser could output the block, and then we can use a piston to move it around. This could get extremely interesting if we pair this with the infinite dispenser plugin so that the dispenser never runs out of items.

Does this sound like something anyone else is interested in? And is anyone willing to give it a shot?

    Anybody?

Still nobody has touched this thread. Is this really that horrible of an idea?

I think it's more the fact that although the piston is coming, it's still a little ways off. Right now that would have no use because it places it once and it can't place another type of thing.

Once pistons get released you could probably promote this idea again and it would get picked up. I know that assuming the API supports it (Don't know what dispenser hooks we have), it would be really easy to make.

I guess youre right, but it doesnt necessarily NEED pistons to be used. You could still use it with sand and gravel, could be used for a wall that rebuilds itself from the top down.
