I really hate having commands to do a million things, so a way to make two linked blocks that act as teleporters would be nice. The way i was thinging was this: You require 2 LapisLazuli Blocks (configurable?). Place one, hit it with your bare hand (configurable?) and receive the message "Hit another LapisLazuli block to link it!" Then, once you have placed another LapisLazuli block and hit it, you get a message informing you that they are linked. To break the link, right click a block with LapisLazuliDye (configurable?). Right clicking the block with anything else will inform the user that they will be teleported, and a 3 second countdown will print to their chat. If it expires and they are still standing next to the LapisLazuli block they will get teleported to the other (safely, check for things in way etc). Assumadly they would appear on top of the other block. So yeah, easy two way teleporter that requires no commands. Breaking one of the blocks would also break the link, of course. P.S.: I don't care if it has Permissions support or not.
what is the purpose of this? admin tool or make it accessable for users? a solution for users would be nice, like this. there are portals which can port you within the same world.. just to mention that
For users. Making obsidian portals for the same world you mean? If it uses commands, it's not what I want :/
Multiverse can make arbitrary cuboids into a portal, so you could make that single air block over the lapis into a portal (no need for obsidian, or even any frame at all). It still requires commands, though.
Well, theres Cakeport which "links" together two cakes, one that teleports you to another, but once again, you have to use commands to actually link the cakes together...
If I remember right: there was a plugin for hey0 mod where you can rightclick through a sign and the lines get switched, the one of the top is your destination, which needed to be set before. teleportet on the surface (no hell or multiworld needed) there is also this for bukkit, need to search it.
I did a search and found the sign teleport. Not quite what I'm looking for, as it requires use of x,y,z co-ords on a sign. Signs, as well, are way too easy to make. A lapis block would give lapis a bit of extra use and means that portals arn't dime-a-dozen.
Ok because I have started development on this plugin as of now. I will also be creating a Github so you can track the progress if you wish. I'm not sure how long this will take so i'm estimating around 3-5 days.
Exists: See Xcraftgates But it has 3 commands to use =/ /gate create Gate01 (execute while standing where gate1 should be) /gate create Gate02 (same as above but gate2) /gate loop Gate01 Gate02 (links gates together)
