Enconomy Plugins? + Other Questions.

    -I wish to know which are the best Enconomy plugins out there. I have tried iConomy, but I'm not completely convinced due to issues. What I want are the plugins required to buy things via signs.

    -Also out of the topic, why do I as the owner of the server have to apply every permission I need under the group of Owner. When pluginname.* should give me all commands, but it doesn't?

    For example: I have iConomy, I have " iConomy.* and iConomy.holdings" yet all I can do is /money, and when I try "grant" it says it doesnt exist when I try "/money username money" it shows me my current balance which I already know.

    -Another question is, can I make a server none PVP, but with worldedit/worldguard assign an area pvp? So only there you can pvp.

    -I tried adding groups to groupmanager and I constantly had SEVERE messages, so I erased them. I just wish to know can multiple ranks inherate from the default, without connecting them to other groups? example: Merchant, Builder and Carpenter Inherate from Villager, but none of them connect to each other. Because as you know each inherate from the previous, but I dont want those 3 to be interated from, only inherate from one.

    To answer your first question (Economy), I use essential's in-built economy, it works great for me.

    "Best" depends on your needs, for economy. Right now, for example, I'm using EmeraldMarket. No dependencies, shops are simple emerald blocks, easy-peasy. But all it does it track an account and let people shop - no wages or interest or any of that (which suits me fine). Just shops and accounts, end of list.

    Besides "shops and signs", what features do YOU need?

    What I want is for people to be able to purchase basic items. But what I mostly want is the ability to trade an item for another item.

    I dont know if its possible but, let's say I have a shop building, which posses a animal farm and plant farm and I wish to sell/trade the food I am able to make. Without it being automatically taken from the server, like when people click and get diamonds in multitudes, I want people to be able to gather and sell/trade.

    Depending on if it gets a new owner, you might like Shopkeepers a lot. Villager-style trades, but the villagers themselves are set up in-game, and it's possible to let players place and hire them, and trade items through them. Nisovin, who maintains it, is looking for someone new to take it on, though - it's showing some bugs as it ages, and he's shy on time for it.

    For a straight emerald economy, Emeraldmarket *is* quite good at the low-feature level..

    If "trading can happen with one player offline doen't matter, there are a lot of really good and light command-based "let's trade" plugins, but it sounds like shops are kind of what you want.

    If none of that suits, or you *do* find yourself needing more, it's almost universally going to be "backend economy + vault + frontend shops". Which often means a good place to start is the stuff mentioned *by* Vault, since it's so much the hinge. If server memory is an issue, you also want to pay attention to phrases like "only spends memory on the parts you use", and such, if it has features you don't care about.

    tweaked essentials vault and iconomy are what I use for sign shops + citizens 2 NPC shops. sign shops are just there as a backup encase an update breaks the NPC's.

    essentials controls the shops and informing you how much money your holding because iconomy and essentials hook together threw vault.

    On the pvp thing: The way to do that with worldguard is: *Only* manage pvp through worldguard, rather than through other rules or plugins. Turn it off as a flag in a large region that covers the world, giving that region a low priority. Then turn it on as a flag in places you want it, giving them a higher priority.

    I don't think you want to use the __global__ region for this, but I could be wrong - my impression is that __global__ is effectively an "override" on the whole lot (so turning pvp on or off with it would make the other region flags not matter). That's just an "I think", though; not something I've tested in detail.

    i think __global__ contains the default settings that new regions inherit... And each new region can override __global__ by changing a flag
    Code:
    /region flag __global__ pvp deny
    /region define Plot1 owner1
    /region define Plot2 owner2
    /region flag Plot2 pvp allow
    /region info Plot1
    pvp is by default off for all plots, including Plot1... except for Plot2 which has specifically enabled pvp.

    My server is PVE with consensual pvp only inside arenas... Because of the mechanics of the plugin, I had to turn pvp on by default, then use MultiVerse to turn pvp off in the main, survival world. And have a pvp world for the Arenas.

    So this (Multiverse) is another option for you.

    Essentials economy and chestshop are what I use. I heard HyperEconomy is good too!
