Hi, I'm new to the forums i was wondering wether is it unhealthy for mac to have a server running on it 24/7 just hosted on your computer or if will it just cost lots of money for bills to keep it up? I'm sorry if you get this question a lot, but if you have any answer for me please post below to me that would be great thanks. by the way, I'm running on a oldish iMac with a memory of 4GB 1333 Mhz DDr3 and is running on version 10.6.8 Soups
Running the server should be perfectly fine for your computer, as would anything else. Electricity would only cost as much as the computer usually would, as I couldn't see the server needing to max out the RAM/CPU usage.
